The Eastern Visayas State University–Carigara Campus (EVSU-CC), through its Income-Generating Project (IGP), successfully conducted the harvest of bangus (milkfish) from its aquafarm/fishpond initiative on April 16, 2025.

This undertaking affirms the viability of the project as a sustainable source of income for the university, while also contributing to the enhancement of local food security and the promotion of environmentally responsible aquaculture practices. The harvested bangus is currently being distributed to local markets, serving as a testament to the university’s commitment to innovation, self-sufficiency, and community engagement.

The administration and the entire EVSU-CC community extend their commendation to the IGP team for this noteworthy achievement and express their continued support for future initiatives that align with the university’s goals of excellence, sustainability, and service.
