CARIGARA, LEYTE—Eastern Visayas State University-Carigara Campus (EVSU-CC) officially opened Academic Year 2025-2026 today, August 18, 2025 with a vibrant, ASEAN-themed flag ceremony that brought together unity and overwhelming entrance of the new school year.

The ceremony, held at the campus grounds, was showcased by EVSU-CC employees dressed in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) inspired attire. Meanwhile, students wore colored shirts representing their respective academic programs.

Campus Director Renato E. Martija. Ed.D., welcomed the school with full of aspirations for EVSU-CC. “As we honor our flag today, let us also raise our aspirations. Let us move forward together with unity, with respect, and with assertive vision of making EVSU Carigara Campus not only a center of learning but also a home with dreams take root and flourish,” he said.

Mr. Bobby Clemente, Head of the Student Affairs and Services Office, also stressed the importance of courage and vision for the new academic year. “May your entire stay in this institution be full not only of memories but of wisdom and values that will bring you to greater heights in the future. I welcome you all,” he added.

The ceremony also underscored EVSU-CC’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts toward strong alliances with other Southeast Asian nations, recognizing the important role of global partnership in achieving common goals.
