TACLOBAN CITY – Faculty members from the Eastern Visayas State University-Carigara Campus (EVSU-CC) received awards and recognition for their outstanding contributions to research, innovation, and extension during a special ceremony on August 28, 2025. The event was part of the university’s 21st Charter Celebration.
Held at the ORDex Office in EVSU-Main Tacloban City, the Vice President’s Research, Innovation, and Extension Services Day recognized the dedication of faculty who have significantly advanced academic excellence and regional development.
In his welcome remarks, Dr. Benedicto Militante, Jr., the Vice President for Academic Affairs, praised the faculty’s efforts. “We see you, we value you, we celebrate with you,” he said, expressing gratitude for their hard work as researchers, innovators, and extensionists.
The following faculty members were honored for their achievements:
- Ma. Theresa M. Salamida: Recipient of the Citation Award for Scopus- and/or Web of Science-Indexed Journals, Citation Award for Refereed Journal, and a nominee for the Best Researcher Award.
- Anabelle T. Cerezo: Recognized with the Citation Award for Scopus- and/or Web of Science-Indexed Journals.
- Ma. Kathleen G. Acopio and Virginia S. Ariza: Both received the Publication Award for Refereed Journal.
- Kareen Lynn E. Negado and Kristine Clemencio: Both were given the Citation Award for Refereed Journal.
- Alaiza Lorraine Raquel, Rienze Denise A. Aborque, and Jean A. Medino: Recognized with the Invention Filer Recognition Award.
- Amelita A. Ariza: Honored with the Meritorious Extension Performance Award.
