๐ฝ๐๐ง๐ช๐๐ค, ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐โThe Eastern Visayas State University-Carigara Campus (EVSU-CC), headed by Dr. Mary Jean P. Yanger, Campus Director, through the initiative of the Education Department, has conducted an extension activity on 17 January 2025 about teaching and learning aimed at empowering the Alternative System Students (ALS) in Barugo I Central School of this municipality.
This initiative is designed to enhance educational opportunities for out-of-school youth and adults, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in todayโs rapidly changing world. The ALS program is tailored for individuals without access to formal education, offering them a chance to continue learning by teaching them practical skills.
The activities were part of ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐, whose Proponents were Instructor Kareen Lynn Negado and Instructor Reinze Denise Aborque, and ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐ whose leader was Instructor Alaiza Lorraine Raquel. These projects were anchored on ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฐ๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ง๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐-๐๐-๐๐ฆ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ), whose Program Proponent was Instructor Jean A. Extension activities initiated by the EVSU-CC are part of the institutionโs fourfold functions, apart from Instruction, Research, and Production. This underscores that the community is a vital unit of our society contributing to nation-building. Through this kind of extension activity, the institution can be an instrument of change and is committed to working with our government to shape our society toward a better nation.
