CARIGARA, LEYTE—A team from the Commission on Audit (COA) conducted a site inspection of the newly constructed Phase II of the Information Technology (IT) Building at the Eastern Visayas State University-Carigara Campus (EVSU-CC) on Monday, September 15, 2025. The audit is part of the standard procedure for government-funded projects and highlights the university’s dedication to transparency and accountability.

The COA team was led by Team Leader Ma. Eloisa K. Cojuangco, State Auditor (SA) IV, along with Atty. Roby Renna E. Superable, SA III, and Ms. Olive A. Miñoza, SA I.

Following the site inspection, the COA representatives met with the university’s Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), represented by BAC Secretariat Dr. Anabelle T. Cerezo. The meeting focused on the new modes of procurement outlined in Republic Act 12009, or the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) of 2024.

EVSU-CC officials composed campus accountant Mary Jane Daang, CPA, MPRM, and the Head of Administration and Finance, Jose Ivan J. Daga, MM, fully cooperated with the audit team, providing necessary information and access to the site and relevant documents to ensure the project’s compliance with government regulations and standards.
