Carigara, Leyte – Employees of Eastern Visayas State University – Carigara Campus (EVSU-CC) showed their support for Women’s Month by wearing purple attire on March 3, 2025. The event marked the official launch of the university’s celebrations, which this year carry the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
Dr. Mary Jean P. Yanger, the Campus Director, highlighted the significance of the activity in recognizing the vital role of women in society. “Let us unite in supporting all women and treat them with equality and respect,” Dr. Yanger emphasized.
The event was part of the university’s month-long Women’s Month celebration, in line with Proclamation No. 227, s. 1988, signed by former President Corazon C. Aquino, which declared March as Women’s Role in History Month.
The program was facilitated by Eng. Leo De Guzman, Coordinator of the Gender and Development Office.
